I was figuring we should have lots of Poolside Happy Hours this year due to me being retired. Not so.  Good news is that because of our travels and other fun stuff.  We'll try to make up for quantity with quality.  And we still have 2 months worth of Poolside Happy Hour opportunities!

SUNDAY AUGUST 4, 2024 

POOLSIDE HAPPY HOUR 

starting at 1:00 & going until I have to go lay down.

We'll be providing grilled wings.

You'll have a chance to become multi-millionaires through our constant, bad luck PowerBall lottery ticket purchases??? What's up with that?  You would think after all these years, we would hit for a few bucks, wouldn't you?  Normal Happy Hour lottery rules apply. Welcome guests who attend are eligible for an equal split of the millions that we win (this time for sure!). You must be 18 and above to get a share. Drawing will be Monday. If the prize is too small, we reinvest for the next Happy Hour.  If we hit big, we'll call you from Fiji and let you know.

It is recommended that you bring bathing suit and cold beverages!

Some sort of main dish or heavy hors d'oeuvre will be provided by the Happy Hour shelter service. UPDATE: There shall be cold Jersey Mikes subs for our enjoyment! Please bring a side dish or snack.  If you are unable to bring a side dish, snack or beverage, they will be provide, so please come anyway.

Late notice Poolside Happy Hour, Friday 9/22/2023!

Mostly sunny and 79!  We want to take advantage of the good weather to grill some burgers, brats and hang poolside while the weather is good.

To take advantage of a little extra sun, we'll be starting at 4.  So come by a bit earlier than usual if you can.

We'll warm the pool a little extra for the occasion.

Beth and I would like to help the folks on Maui. Friday, August 25th, we will be having a poolside gathering 5:00 PM until ??.  We'll be collecting cash donations and should have a charity name if you would like to write a check.  Let's help the people of Lahaina. We are currently looking for a reputable charity to donate the funds.  Suggestions are welcome.

Kick in a few bucks and we'll send it west.

Stop by and partake in some Hawaiian themed food and drink.  I'll be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and we'll be flying their state flag.  

Last minute rule change!  We the welcome, 21 and above, attendees of this 8/25 Happy Hour will equally split one half of the winnings of our Friday and Saturday, PowerBall and or MegaMillions with a charity for the benefit of the fire victims on Maui.  Beth and I will select the charity(s).  GOOD LUCK MAUI!  You could use some.

Weather update 11:12 AM, 7/15/23… stop

The latest weather channel update indicates a good chance of rain entering the N. Terrace Avenue area by 1:00 PM… stop  Scattered thunderstorms possible but a below 50% until 7:00 PM… stop

Festivities have NOT been canceled at this time.  We are likely to party on…   

We are a couple months tardy but here we go!  As always, we are keeping an eye on the weather and will update you here if it looks like storms.    1:00 is our start time.

Beth is going to whip up some smoked pork shoulder.  We have a back-up plan if that fails.

We'll have some adult beverages on hand to share or BYOB.

Bring a side dish or snack if you have the time.   The most important thing is that you make it.  Kids are welcome.  You bring them, you watch them.

 BTW ~ here's the current power ball jackpot.  I hope no one hits before we do!  Normal Happy Hour Lottery rules apply.

We are planning a poolside Happy Hour for September 2, 2022!  Right now (8/30), the weather looks pretty good for Friday.  They say 85, gentle breeze and partly cloudy and we're hoping that means partly sunny too. 

WE'LL PROVIDE BRATS AND BURGERS.  Bring a covered dish, snack or desert to share if you have the time.

We are officially a YES for 8/19/22 Happy Hour

We are ready for another Poolside Happy Hour.  If the forecast hold anywhere near what it looks like now, we are a go for Happy Hour.

We'll make sure the water is warmed up to 83 or 84 degrees.  Good for anyone wanting to take a swim.

Beth is going to try smoking some pork for us to share.  We'll kick in for a Power Ball and a Mega Millions.  You can't win if you don't play. Are you feeling lucky?
