"They" say 80+ degree weather for Friday. SWEET!

The rain held off but the crowd didn't!

We were expecting a sparse first Happy Hour of the year gathering. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to greet 17 friends!

Brien receives the first guest of the season award. We were shocked and quite pleasantly surprised to have Bill and Marlene in attendance.

BIG MONEY BONANZA!

I forgot to post the BIG MONEY info at the April 23 Happy Hour due to the unexpected turnout and perhaps because of some Two Hearted Ale and maybe a Levitation Ale or two.

Here's how we are going to do it. Each Friday that we can remember to, we will purchase a single power ball ticket for $2.00. It will be for the next days drawing. If it hits we will be splitting the winnings with all those in attendance. For example a $240,000,000 pot divided by let's say 20 guests with us included of course, would equal $12,000,000 each. You have to be a welcome guest, come through the gate and say hello or something and be seen by us to be included. You have to pay your own taxes. We reserve the right to change the rules as we see fit.

BTW we did purchase a $2.00 ticket this past Friday from Skips west end Market Basket. If you see something in the paper about someone hitting from that location, give us a call in Tahiti. Hee hee just kidding.

OK. If we hit a small prize, let's say under $5.00 each, we'll roll it over into the next ticket purchase so you will have to stop by the next Friday we have HH to be part of that nights windfall.

That's just what happened on the 4-24 drawing. We hit the "Power ball" and nothing else but I had purchased what the attendant so seductively called a "Doubler". I couldn't resist the lure of the Doubler so I think we win $3.00 x 2 for a grand total of $6.00 to invest in next HH's BIG MONEY BONANZA!

Let's give it a go!

The weather report has it 65 and sunny this coming Friday. We'll have some goodies and a few cold ones on hand. We hope to see you.

April is moving along nicely

and so are expectations for Happy Hour.

The pool is open and weathered winter just fine. The cool to cold nights have not allowed the water to warm much but that's to be expected this time of year.

I think we will be ready for a April 23 Happy Hour. The weather report is good all week until, drat, Friday. That's a long way off so I'll hope for a break with the forecast.

First post of the new year!

It seems like it's been winter for quite a long t - i - m - e now. The weather report for the next few days brings spring to mind. It's said we will get above freezing this week ... YEA!!!!

Here's the way I like to phrase it ~ After next month, (& we all know that's a short month) it will be about 6 weeks until we open the pool. Once the pool is open, it can't be far to Happy Hour ... YEA!!!

Weather report causes cancellation of HH for 9/25

We are giving Happy Hour a break this Friday due to the cool and damp weather conditions. There could well be one or more Happy Hours before our Fall and Winter hiatus.

We had a nice turn out and nice weather on the 11th

Amie showed up for a brief visit. It was good to see her. Roger was with one of the girls and couldn't attend. School has started and Amie's been cracking the books big time.

Rick and Margo, Alan and Bonnie, Don and Chris, Barry and Kathy along with Amanda, Lilly and Nick.

Margo and Rick had a great time in California, showed some pics and gave us some off the beaten path travel tips. Bonnie and Alan had great weather in Michigan. Haley Snyder is off to Otterbine for her freshman year! I think one of the Hupp's has a BIG birthday coming up?

It's sounding like good weather for Happy Hour September 18! Check back to be sure.
