Poolside Happy Hour or maybe SUNDAY BRUNCH starts mid May through early September to mid October. This site will keep you informed about which Fridays OR OTHER days we will be having a gathering. Friday fun start at 5 PM until 7 or 8. Might run a bit later.
We always have adult beverages on hand & snacks & hors d'oeuvres of some sort. Bring something with you or not. We'll be happy to see you either way. BTW ~ Kids are welcome. If you bring them, you watch them.
Looking at the calendar it appears we have ended our poolside happy hour season. The last one of the season was the best!
We shall be visiting the Beverage Source Friday. Maybe we'll see you there.

Our original thoughts from back in August,
"Let's have a Caribbean theme Happy Hour".
As Irma closed in, that plan started to seem cavalier. Even more so after seeing the utter devastation that took place on St Martin, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, St John, St Thomas and then on to our second home, the Florida Keys and Key West.
We took down our "hint of our next Happy Hour theme" a map of the Caribbean, thinking maybe not such a good idea.
Having time to think about it,
here's what we would like to do.

Please plan on attending and putting $5, $10, $50, $100 whatever bucks in the kitty. I'll be doing some research to try and find the safest most useful spot(s) to send our donations. We'll take recommendations as to where to send our money too.
We'll update this and the Happy Hour blog when a decision is made as to where we want to donate. I'll work hard to do it right.

It seems there is nothing green remaining
We visited Jost Van Dyke in 2014 by kayak. We camped at Ivan's Stress Free Campground for a few days. We came back after camping and stayed a week. We both admit it was the best vacation we have ever had.
Beautiful people, beautiful island.
Jost has a about 300 residents. We don't want to see them passed by due to small population. They are a gem of the Caribbean.
Great Indian food with a splash of American fare added in.
Beth and Chris did a great job with the most exotic food. Flavored biryani shrimp and rice. Thanks Chris! And the chicken korma and spicy vindaloo. Thanks Beth! Also the diligent testing of the cucumber cocktailsthe night before Happy Hour really paid dividends. Good job Beth, Chris and Karen! Thanks to everyone else who brought their favorite dishes and snacks to share.
I'll be checking on the Mega and PowerBall results and reporting our winnings. Too bad we didn't get in on that $700,000,000 + ticket but a couple mill each would sooth the disappointment. Here's hoping. I counted 15 adults 3 youths and two pups in attendance.
Not likely to have another Happy Hour until September 23 ??? say it ain't so! Possible for 9/1/17 but not likely due to the busy holiday weekend. Check back for more details just in case. The 9/23 Happy Hour theme is already in the works and I am overjoyed ... weather permitting of course.
Not a ton of summer Fridays remaining so let's make the best of this one.
It wasn't a big turnout but it sure was fun. Unfortunately no Mega or PowerBall win but we keep trying. We will not be having Happy Hour poolside 8/18 but here is a hint at what we have in store for Friday 8/25 weather permitting.
One model shows 60 % chance at 5 and 6:00. Another model says 10 % at 5:00 and later. Here what I'm thinking. If it's raining at 5:00 no happy hour. If it is not raining, come on down. I'll try to check closer to 4 or 5 and update. Sorry for the wishy washy report.
