We have canceled happy hour festivities at the pool house

Nature Stone could not make it out to finish their work due
to today's wet weather. That means we can't move stuff
back into the pool house. Add that to an iffy forecast
and we end up with a canceled HH.
But not really canceled. Just moved. Friday, we will be
heading to the Grill on 21st St for libations.
Maybe we'll see you there.

I'll double check with Joel and post a
confirmation for next Fridays beer tasting. Ummmmmm!

July 31 Happy Hour

If the weathers good we are on for an abbreviated Happy Hour. I'm thinking 5 to 6:30 - 7:00. Some of the class of 74 are dropping by (very informally) prior to the informal class of 74 gathering at the Grill on 21st Street.

We are having the pool deck and pool house stone re-surfaced / glazed. It was to have been complete last Friday. There are delays. With any luck it will be done and ready for use Friday.

Check back Friday for HH confirmation just to be sure.

Great country style Happy Hour on July 24

Lots of good folks, good food and good weather. There was some 4 wheeling, boccie ball, pond swimming (by the dogs), fishing, eating, a few drinks were consumed and some campfire sitting was accomplished.

Hey! It's Friday July 24!

The weather's good. The breeze is blowing at our real nice at the Happy Hour location.

See the previous posts for more directions.

Chris also likes to use the "Cemetery sign" as a marker for turning in to the white gravel lane. That's if your coming south on 13. The lane is at the end or beginning of the big long white picket fence too. And I did stick a pink, Open Sunday 2 to 4 sign at the lane.

If you can't find it from all that, call us. 522-1142 will work.

Don't go to the pool for HH! The Nature Stone is being resurfaced. Stay off for today ... PLEASE!

REMEMBER. NEW VENUE FOR HH JULY 24!

Join us July 24 for Happy Hour ~ The Road Show Addition.
Happy hour will travel for the July 24, 2009 episode at the gracious invite of Don and Chris Snider.
Don and Chris will be holding Happy Hour at a cool farm house and acreage with pond. I figure it will run from 5:00 PM. When I find out how late we can stay I'll post it.
The grounds are located down a long lane that runs off of State Route 13. It's on the east side of the road. Coming from Heath down 13, it's on the left. It's past Hupp Road (which is on the east side also) past the entry to Dawes and before Ridgely Tract Road which is on the west side of 13. I'll mark the driveway or lane if you will, with some sort of real estate open house sign. Maybe a pink one.

Long time friends of many ~ Mark and Linda Granger will be in attendance so be prepared ... to welcome them and for a heck of a good time.
August 7th reminder:
Joel of The Beverage Source is going to provide us with a little Happy Hour education in the form of a beer and cheese tasting. It's scheduled for August 7th. The emphasis of the tasting will be summer season brew. I'll see what time he want to get things started with the tasting. I'm thinking 6 or 6:30. I'll report back and let you know.

Happy Hour of July 17 ... a rousing success!

It’s my pleasure to report an excellent and well behaved crowd showed up.

A few were in great need of unwinding. We hope we were able to offer the support needed after a trying week. That’s the real mission of the Happy Hour Foundation. Donation to allow us to continue our great works can be sent to Jenny Jenny @ 867-5309.

It was good to see Todd and Beth. They are favorites around the happy hour tables. Alan and Bonnie joined us as did Gabby and Amie. Amanda and Lilly are becoming regulars. Lilly braved the cool waters for a swim. First timer Nick accompanied them. It was good to see him again. Barry Hupp attended w/o his better half and was surprisingly well behaved. He may still be trying to figure out where he left his camera. Give us a call Barry.

Mr. Grove was the first in for happy hour. He came bearing gifts. I’ll have to post a picture of the kayaking shirt he gifted. Its got a good one liner across the back! THANKS RICK!

Check back for updates on our new venue for Happy Hour on July 24!

Just in case, a rain location for Happy Hour 7/24

Regarding the previous post: Chris thought it a good idea to have a backup plan for the July 24th HH. She has designated "The Grill on 21st St" as our bad weather port. So be it.

Abbreviated Happy Hour

Well attended but short. The Rico clan was well represented with Lou, Dave and Arleen in attendance. First timers.

We have been getting a wide variety of ages too.

At the end of HH, Harry helped load up the kayaks for our trip to Keuka. We will be back in time for Happy Hour Friday the 17th. Let's hope the weather's good.

Remember, the beer tasting has been changed to August.

The forecast looks good for Friday July 10

It may be the warmest day of the week! We hope you can make it.

ALERT ... ALERT ... JOEL WILL PRESENT "SUMMER BREWS" AUGUST 7th NOT JULY 17th.

Please update your schedules.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

No Happy Hour scheduled for the 3rd.

Have a good holiday weekend!
Let's hope the weather improves. Maybe we will have to turn the pool heater on for a while. Stop by Saturday or Sunday for a swim, a game of bocce or maybe some sort or black raspberry cocktail. They black, plump and ready to pick!

It was a hot one 6/26 and a fun one. SMILE!
