No poolside happy Hour this Friday 8-30-2019 but

They are having some festivities in downtown Newark for Final Friday this week.  The weather looks good for Friday too.

FYI it looks like September 13th is the next opportunity for Friday Happy Hour Poolside.  Friday the 13th.  Humm?

Might have to do something special.

As for last Friday.  A good time was had by all and below are some pictures to prove it.  

Congratulations to use on the PowerBall drawing!  the numbers were 051220214701 and we had 5 14 18 25 61 and 18.  Wah hoo! We had a number!

Mega was a big zero ~ no numbers.

As a special treat to go with the grilled wings, Denise and Charlie brought corn on the cob and grilled them in the husk!  They were perfect.  Thanks you two!

I went to Pups on the Patio at Papa Boo's Monday of last week with Beth, Karen and Banjo.  I really liked the sunset and thought I'd share a few pics here.

Here Leslie on the paddle-board with Karen and Evan on Sunday.  It appears Karen's efforts to find Leslie a home may have paid off.  We'll keep you posted.

A bit cool for an August Happy Hour but we are a YES for poolside fun tonight.  We'll crank up the heater for any brave swimmers.  Hope to see you tonight!  

I heard somewhere that someone might be bringing fresh corn for grilling.  

That would go quite nicely with grilled wings wouldn't it?

The wing have been acquired and will be 

marinating for a Happy Hour grilling. 🍗

The forecast has moved around a lot this Monday morning already.  It seems likely for Happy Hour 8/23 but check back as we close in on Friday.  I'll update the blog to keep you informed.

No poolside Happy Hour Friday August 16 but ...

Summer Quench Pub Crawl in downtown Newark sounds like fun

Their announcement say it runs this Friday from 4:00 to 9:00

TICKETS ON SALE NOW AT BUCKEYE WINERY and SAND HOLLOW SPEAKEASY!!! **$5 - CASH ONLY**

SAVE THE DATE. Enjoy drink and food specials at multiple Downtown establishments including, Barrel & Boar, Buckeye Winery, Draft House, Elements Local Bistro, Elliot's Wood Fired Kitchen and Tap, Moe's Original Bar B Que, Sand Hollow Speakeasy, The Bootlegger, and The Mark. Cost is only $5. You will receive a lanyard with the ticket listing the locations. Your ticket will let you take advantage of the specials at each of the locations.

Have your ticket signed from at least 5 of the 10 participating locations. Then, put your name and phone number on your ticket and put it in the box at any of the locations to be entered into drawings for gift cards to downtown businesses. But Sunday 8-11-19 is poolside Brunch Day!
(weather permitting so check back here if you are not sure)

Delightful Happy Hour August 2 2019

I'd like to note a few first time poolside Happy Hour attendees.  Mark and Victoria were in from Austin Texas and stayed next door.  It was a pleasure to visit with them.  Kate brought Ralph with her this Happy Hour.  I think he enjoyed his visit and we hope to see him again.
