We are planning a poolside Happy Hour for September 2, 2022! Right now (8/30), the weather looks pretty good for Friday. They say 85, gentle breeze and partly cloudy and we're hoping that means partly sunny too.
WE'LL PROVIDE BRATS AND BURGERS. Bring a covered dish, snack or desert to share if you have the time.
Here's what happened September 2nd, 2022 Happy Hour.
We are officially a YES for 8/19/22 Happy Hour
We are ready for another Poolside Happy Hour. If the forecast hold anywhere near what it looks like now, we are a go for Happy Hour.
We'll make sure the water is warmed up to 83 or 84 degrees. Good for anyone wanting to take a swim.
Beth is going to try smoking some pork for us to share. We'll kick in for a Power Ball and a Mega Millions. You can't win if you don't play. Are you feeling lucky?

I'm planning of grilling up some wings. Beth is providing

The water has remained at 80 to 84 degrees so it been very comfortable for lounging in the pool. As usual, kids are very welcome. You bring them and you watch them.

By the way ... We did hit the Power Ball drawing! In fact, we did have the power ball number TWICE. Good old number 5 came up twice as the Power Ball on our ticket and we did match one other white ball so we will reinvest our $4.00 winnings next Happy Hour rather than giving each of the 25 adults that visited Happy Hour 16 cents each. We hit no numbers on the Friday night Mega Millions.

We have been closely monitoring the Friday June 10th forecast in hopes of a poolside Happy Hour. Check back as the forecast firms up. We'll let you know if we are still on.
Beth is planning on slow cooker pepperoncini drip beef as a sandwich or plated with peppers.
It's interesting that the Powerball has not hit for a while. If no one hit June 8 (they are thinking 210,000,000 for the 6/8 drawing), there will be a huge jackpot for June 11. Maybe we'll skip Mega and invest it all on Powerball. That would make for a dandy split. Power ball update, estimated jackpot
