Check the list to the right!

This coming Friday, July 1 is the big push!

Please bring in some items from the list that our troops will find useful.

Let's show our appreciation for their brave service and send them some small things to make it a bit easier for them.

It didn't rain on us for Happy Hour 6/24 !

Under the dark gray Sky we persevered. The "this years new comers" out numbered the usual suspects this HH. Don and Denise were the first to arrive followed closely behind by Don's brother Jim and sister-in-law Karen. Jim and Karen get the longest journey award having recently driven from near the California Nevada border. Keith, a friend of Don's also came for a cold one. Alan and Bonnie stopped in as did Todd and Beth (their first HH of the year). Nancy brought over a couple of her grand kids who braved the cool waters and air temp for a swim. Tim arrived a bit before or after Nancy and crew. Counting the grand kids, the first time this yearers squeaked out a 7 to 6 win.

Beth brought in some tasty Jersey Mikes subs and made a desert with cream cheese and fresh picked raspberries. WOW!

Pictures were not taken of Happy Hour this June 24th. Sorry about that.

I doubled up again buying one PowerBall and one Mega ticket. Zero numbers again on both tickets!!!

Just to refresh on the lotto tickets: Any welcome guest above the age of 21 who is in attendance for that Fridays HH shall receive a split of the prize money from that Fridays Mega drawing or that next day Saturdays PowerBall drawing. Coming the Friday the week before or the week after gets you a pat on the back but NO winnings.

Please don't forget about bringing items from the list at the right. It would be great to fill a box or to to send to our troops. You can drop off items during the week if you can't make Happy Hour July 1.

What's up with this? REVISED

The Weather Channel has revised the odds in our favor rain wise.

We bought the PowerBall and MegaMillions tickets. Any welcome guests feel free to stop by for HH and your chance at financial independence, a cold beverage and conversation.

We will be hear despite the cooler than usual temps.

What's up with this?

60% at 5:00??? I'll check back around 2:30 today and see how things look before calling it off.

Repeat of last weeks "30% chance of rain for Happy Hour is good enough for me!"

From this Thursday mornings vantage point it looks like Friday at 5:00 we have a 30% chance of rain again. It increases to 50% by 7:00. For now it looks like we are a YES for Friday June 24 Happy Hour.
I'll check the weather situation Friday morning / early afternoon and update if it looks like a change for the worse.

I'm getting a bit tired of the rain. It's making it hard to keep the grass mowed between showers. It's making for a less fun pool season too. However, the black raspberry crop is doing GREAT.

Report from June 17 Happy Hour

Last weeks HH was fun. I really enjoyed it. I'll post some pictures today or Friday 6/24. Our friend and some time mail carrier Amy was a first time this year attendee as were Ginger and Jim. I regret to post that none of them became millionaires on either the PowerBall or MegaMillions front. We hit for 1 number on 2 tickets. So the other guests Marty, Don and Chris, Barry and Kathy, Amanda, Alan and Bonnie, Karen, Dawn, Don and Nancy are also not millionaires via Happy Hour. We shall keep trying. Youths in attendees were Isabel, Lilli and Reece. Beth made a favorite pasta dish. I'm glad I got some early because it disappeared quickly. Once again we dodged the storm bullet with our slightly early "last call". A few of us made the trip into Brews Too for the Phil Lee and Tom Mason show. I thought it was Very Good! On the way there it rained cats, dogs and hail.

and now here are some pictures ...

Another excellent Happy Hour to report

Wes put on a fine show.

There was good food. I really like BBQ chicken Beth grilled up for us.

Best of all, as always, great folks were in attendance.

Keeping with tradition, none of the Mega or Power Ball tickets hit this week. Rick kicked in another Mega Mill so we had 3 chances. Hope none of you quit your job yet. Maybe next week.

It would have been a skimpy pot anyway split by the HUGE crowd. I'd say our biggest of the year so far.

Some new faces to Happy Hour were Chip & Amy (you'll here more about Chip and his musical event at Brews Too on Friday June 17 ~ show starts at 8pm) John, Jodi, Greg, Kristina, Mark, Kathy, Bart, Beth. Some others made their first Happy Hour of this year. Gabby, Robyn, Nathan and Wes are in that club.

Some other smiling faces were Brien, Terry, Tim, Barry, Kathy, Don, Nancy, Don, Chris, Don, Denise, Rick, Margo, Bert, Brigitte (more about Support Our Soldiers Now to to this blog soon), Marty, Michelle and Reece (who made it known that Marty gave her poison ivy) and who else? OH yes Isabel was here too sharing her new pink hat with all the guys. Didn't get any pictures of that. Sorry.

In closing ... we beat the storm by about 60 seconds ... Wes had just loaded up the last of his equipment when it hit. And thanks to all those who helped get things that need sheltered into the pool house.

Hope to see you next time and check back soon for some info about upcoming events.

As of 1:15 PM we are a YES for tonight

I just talked to Wes and he planning on setting up under his canopy and playing the night away!

The Weather channel says about a 50 - 50 chance.

See you soon!

Wes is planning on setting up shop around 5:30 Friday June 10!

We'll be keeping an eye on the weather report. It looks like about the same chance of storms 30% as we had Thursday. So far, Thursday has been just fine. Check back for a Friday afternoon update if it looks iffy. There was a good turnout last Friday. The seasonal new comers were Don and his friend Denise, Amie Chapman Webb made her first appearance of the year. She brought Ivy Mae. Ivy Mae seemed quite at home and got held by several attendees. Marty's dad and Reece's grandpa, Bob stopped by. I think he enjoyed the visit. He fit right in and was an interesting fellow and Denise was an interesting gal. We found out she knows Margo. I'll try to fill in some more details Friday. We'll see you soon!

Here are a few pics from June 3.

Happy Hour ON for this Friday.

What great weather we have been having! Hope to see you Friday.

I think Cincy chili dogs with fixings will be on the menu : )

Hey! Put this on the calendar. Wes will be playing for Happy Hour June 10 with June 24 as a rain date! I had previously reported the rain date as June 17. The correct rain date is June 24. Please adjust your schedules accordingly.
