We have a decent forecast for Friday, June 27. We are thinking Happy Hour!

One of us has gotten behind on yard and pool grounds maintenance.  With any luck, I'll be able to get caught up Friday and the weather will be fine for Happy Hour.

I'll be mowing and cleaning on Friday so feel free to stop by any time after 4:00 or 4:30 for a pre-Happy Hour swim.

As always, check back to see if we are still ON if the weather forecast changes for the worse.

Oh yes, and some of the daylillies have come to bloom!

We had 3 wonderful weather Fridays in a row

The forecast for Friday June 20 is not so good.  So no Happy Hour poolside this Friday.  Check back next week!

It was a fine feast for Friday the 13th!

We had a dozen "feasters" for Happy Hour.  The Low Country Shrimp Boil went off as planned. Everyone seemed to get there fill.  The leftovers were served the next day.  Sunday's omlet was patato, sausage, corn and shrimp, surprised?  Last night was pasta with marinara, shrimp and sausage.  Man I love those Low Country Boils!

Here are a few pics to share.

There is our full moon!

The pool deck had been diamond ground to a smooth white surface.  The installers didn't get a chance to finish the re-surfacing job until Monday.  We like it!

Happy Hour weather looks pretty good!

Whereas Happy Hour will land on Friday the 13th and whereas there shall be a full moon, and whereas we have acquired a new cook-stove, we shall declare a Low Country Shrimp Boil for Happy Hour.

We'll make enough for about 20 folks.  If you bring a small side dish, it will stretch the eats out some.  Just come on over or if your sure you will attend, you can shoot us an e-mail or text or call.

We'll plan on putting the potatoes in the pot somewhere around 6:00.  Should start with the feast about 6:30.

I'd be happy to scoop out a bit of the good starter stuff before the last ingredient goes in, that would be shrimp, that is if shrimp doesn't suite your system. (Tom?)  Be sure to let me know in advance.

Other news:  All the nature stone scheduled to be removed has been.  Custom Concrete Coatings will be coming in Friday early morning to prep the pool deck for their treatment.  They said it would not be a problem for Happy Hour.  They will hold off on treatment application until Monday so that we can use the pool Saturday, which is likely to be a delightful pool day.

The new cooker!

No Official Happy Hour June 6.

We are having some of Beth's NHS classmates over for the evening June 6 so it is just going to be us, not open to the usual suspects.

BUT.... I say.

Tis likely we will have Happy Hour on June 13 weather permitting.

That's going to be an interesting event I have a feeling.

Did you know It was going to be a Full Moon on Friday the 13th of June?

Yikes!

Real nice start to the official Happy Hour season!

We had about 25 guests give or take a few.  The weather was about as nice as it can get.  Not too in either direction, just right!

We did hit the lottery for the first time since our very first attempt at creating a bunch central Ohio millionaires.  The first time we won $6 bucks.  Beth checked all 3 tickets and one had one number, the power ball!  So whatever we won will be rolled into the next official Happy Hour ticket count.  Rick Grove upped the ante this week by kicking in an extra ticket making for the a fore mentioned 3 ticket count. Thanks Rick!

Neighbor Kolt brought down a  b u n c h  of spicy smoked chicken.  Thanks Kolt!  We had a low key quite celebration for Peggy's official retirement.  She doesn't like you to make a fuss.  So next time you see her ...
We supplied some smoked turkey from City BBQ, always good.  There were lots of side dishes brought by many of the guests.

I took a few pictures early on and will post them below.  I kind of got distracted as the night went along.  It did end up being a late one.  We finished cleaning up around 11:00 & thanks Kolt. As I said, a real nice start.

First attendee of the year honors go to Rick Grove.  Sorry Brien, your reign is over.
