Looks like we are on again this Friday

Hope to see you Friday the 30th!

WOW ... lot of folks and fun!

It was a hot one Friday. We had visitors starting at about 11:00 AM. Ronda and her mom started us off early and they brought lunch. Thanks ladies.

Brien got things rolling with the after work crowd. He was one of many who took their bathing suits to work as to allow for making a splash asap. Terry and Rachael and Randy were soon to follow. Rachael and Randy are going to be neighbors very soon. Gabby took her suit to work too. She left early to head to some Buckeye Lake fun.

The Hupp's were here. Hadn't seen them in a while as they have been working, working, working. Mr. Snyder accompanied Mr. Hupp. Amie was here with some stories to tell! Alan and Bonnie brought 4 friends from Michigan. They are heading to the rib fest today.

Neighbors Don and Nancy brought Isabel. Neighbors Marty and Michelle brought Reece and her friend Marlyn.

Bill Smith made it for the first time this year. He brought Jen for her first HH and we hope she comes back for many more. You too Bill.

I don't think Bert, Brigitte and Nate had been here for a HH before. I'm giving them first time status until I learn otherwise. I think they had fun. Bert issued a boccie challenge which will be addressed in the near future I hope. I got a good picture of Nate jumping into the pool I'll post later. I was lacking in my picture taking. When I started snapping shots it was getting dark and several guests had headed out. I'll post all my pictures later.

In a night of several special and unexpected guests I saved Shelly Whitefield Bodi for last mention. It was so nice to see her. We tried to keep her but she had to go visit mom. We hope she comes back soon and brings her husband Kevin.

There was tons of food. Beth made a huge hot cabbage, rice and veggie thing that tastes just like stuffed cabbage. It disappeared but I made sure to get my share. There were great deserts including some gooey brownies UMMM and some berry pie that I worked on as a bedtime snack UMMM. There was fried chicken and salad and other goodies I didn't get a chance to sample.

In closing some observations. Perhaps our hottest HH ever coincidental the one with the most swimmers I can ever remember. I'd say about 12 in the pool is pretty close to right. There were a total of 30 in attendance if my memory serves me right. We started early and kept things going until a little after dark. Thanks to all who attended for making it a most enjoyable day / HH for Beth and me.

This Friday looking hot and humid. Come on over!

Last weeks HH was a good one again. Amie shared some tales from Ireland. Tim C, Rick and Margo, Alan and Bonnie, Don and Nancy along with their daughter Lisa and her kids were the others in attendance. Rick purchased an extra PowerBall ticket to no avail. At least his had 1 number. Mine was shut out again. Maybe this Friday????

Things ended before dark so Beth and I followed Rick and Margo to the Manor House. Ron and Sheila have a Super Deluxe chuck-wagon that they can take around the country providing equally deluxe meals. They were last Friday, and are currently serving folks from next to the Manor House patio. Saw a lot of folks at the MH that we knew and had a fine time there.

Saturday was a hoot at the pool. Lots of little and middle sized kids and plenty of big ones. Sunday was equally fun & only adults.

What a great pool weekend it was. It really helped make up for last years lack of pool days.

Slept well Sunday night.

Hope to see you Friday some time after 5:00 for Happy Hour.

Friday update looking good

WHIZ TV says clearing late morning and OK this afternoon so we say come on down. You can check back closer to HH if pop up showers approach but for now we are ON.

Amie said she was planning on attending and there's a chance Roger might be by too. I'm ready for a few travel - Ireland yarns!

We were perfect the first round of trivia ...... then fizzled big time the second round. The weather and company were fine. Savant Matt did not attend and I don't blame him. A team that had not won before this year (I think) took the prize. Cool. We did not know that the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers converged at Harper's Ferry or that salt water estuaries, bays and coves were referred to as "firths" in Scotland. Margo where were you?

Wes did play at The Grill on 21st last nigh. There was a big crowd. Good music. Lots of folks we knew. Wes said his schedule there is not every Thursday so keep that in mind.

The PowerBall numbers for this Friday - Saturday are 22 - 43 - 48 - 52 - 53 and ... and I think I'll hold off posting the PB red number until after the drawing. Change of system may mean change of luck.

We hope to see you tonight!

Early forecast for Friday ... 88 isolated T-storms

We are hopeful the weather will cooperate and will post Friday yes or no as to Happy Hour.
*** I assume Amie and Roger returned from Ireland. I'm anxious to hear all about it and maybe see all about it. I'll call Amie and see if HH is in her and Roger's near future.
*** I think Wes has become a regular at the Grill on Thursday night. I'm going to try to take in some of his show this week.
*** We'll be at trivia tonight, Wednesday, at Papa Boo's. It's been quite a while since we've had a win. No fault of Matt. He's had the winning answer two out of the last three weeks. Maybe we'll listen tonight?
*** BTW, I did purchase a PowerBall ticket last Friday. There was no Happy Hour last Friday. The ticket hit for $550.00.

Just kidding ... we had no numbers ... again. Beth says we are saving up for a BIG win.

"They" say 60% chance of rain tonight July 9

Looks like we'll take a break from poolside Happy Hour tonight.

No happy Hour at the pool house tonight.

We hope to see you next week!

We expectedly had a light turnout for July 2nd

The long weekend saw the pool used quite a bit though. Here's some pictures from the past weekends activities. Some Friday night stuff with Barry, Don, Nancy, Isabel and Marty, Michelle and Reece came by for a while.
Then a little kayaking up the Little Walnut Creek and Hover Res. Saturday.
Followed by a great turnout for the 4th with ribs and all the side dishes you could want. Just guessing I'd say about 30 friends stopped by. We had a great long weekend and hope you did too.
