Similar headline from last weeks post ... Looks like a 50% (11:51 AM: Just updated to 40% at 6:00) chance of rain for Friday according to channel 10

Not a good sign for a poolside Happy Hour.
Let's postpone and hope for better weather June 29th

Here is the update forecast for this afternoon.  Fine at 4:00 ~ hit and miss storms for 3 hours and then slight chance at 8:00. Dang!  What's up with that?

Here some pictures from the May 25th addition of Poolside Happy Hour.

Won $4 on a $20 investment.  Best result in several years of trying!

May 25 Happy Hour preliminary report

As best as we could recollect ~ 37 humans in attendance and 2 canines.  Several first timers to Happy Hour.  Their name will not be changed as they are not innocent.  The Sherman cartel tried a takeover by shear force of number.  They were lead by Carol, son Jason, daughter-in-law Amber, their 2 kids Anna and Kate.  Bob and Erin also made a first appearance.  Bob was surprisingly well behaved.

We did not hit the lottery but there is still hope.  We have a ticket remaining for tonight's drawing.

Photos and a more complete review will be posted soon.

Beth and Kim had a great time!

Aloha friends! We have a theme for Happy Hour Friday May 25th and the weather will be perfect!

Can you guess what US state we will be celebrating? Please be sure to wear your Hawaiian shirt or the like.

We will have some special treats on the menu commemorating our 50th state.  Perhaps a tropical cocktail too.

The long range forecast shows warm and sunny.  If that forecast holds, we are on for Happy Hour.

BTW, We will spend a bit extra on lottery tickets and devote a portion of our expected winnings to the folks on the Big Island in the lava's path.  So to review and establish the terms of our good luck:  50% of our lottery winnings will go to those in need in the great state of Hawaii.  I've done some research and have some things in mind.  50% of the winnings will be shared equally between all welcome adult guests.  Beth and I shall have the final say in the lottery matters.  Due to the nature of the damage on the Big Island we went out on a limb and invested $20.00 in lottery tickets ... what wise investors we are!

The Friday weather report is telling us ...

we are not looking good for Happy Hour poolside Friday May 18.

A bit windy ~ a bit cool ~ a bit rainy.

Unless their is a dramatic change in the forecast by Friday morning, we are a no go for Happy Hour.

BTW, we had 2 numbers on the lottery ticket from last week.  Were getting warmer!

A great season opener for Happy Hour!

We had plenty of  eats with lots of mini burgers, hot dogs and chili sauce, taco dip, party potatoes, macaroni + assorted dips and salsas.

To the best of my recollection here are the suspects in attendance.  Peggy, Karen, Gary and Penny,  Tim and Pam.  Pam now has "neighbor" status.  Kristine, Andrea, Jon and Janet, Ellen, Lisa, Andy , Joe and Luke ... last but not least Steve!

In the special guest section we had an appearance by Banjo.

I think a good time was had by all.

Neighbor Whitey left at Banjo's encouragement.
