Not looking too bad for Happy Hour tonight Friday July 17

Friends, please check below for information regarding a memorial service for Sue Moore, Brien Moore's mom.

The storm pattern at this time seems to be tracking north of us.  We'll keep an I on conditions.  As we all know, with temps expected to reach 90! popups can roll in.  For now we are a YES for Happy Hour.  Check back if you have any doubts.  I'll update the blog if warranted.

Beth is going with a favorite for Happy Hour delights with Jersey Mike's subs and we have some roast beef and peppers that I really like.  You better get here early if you like it too ; )

Rick and Margo left us a winning scratch off lottery ticket before they bugged out.  We are going to reinvest it and a $4 power ball winning ticket into our Happy Hour Bazllionaire fund so your chances of cashing in big time at this Happy are WAY up there.  You better be here, you don't want to be the only one of us not fabulously wealthy (see rules below)*
We hope to see you tonight!

From the Advocate: A memorial service celebrating the life of Susan Gail Moore, age 82, of Newark, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 North Fifth Street, Newark, with Pastor John Stroup officiating. A gathering celebrating Susan's life will be held at the Elk's Lodge, 73 North Third Street, Newark from 1-3 p.m. following the service at the church.
Sue has been a friend of Beth and mine since the early 1970's.  She not only put up with us but made us welcome at the family home on Granville Street.  Many many enjoyable evenings were spent with the family shooting the breeze in the living room or playing euchre at the kitchen table.

To review, any "welcome guest"** who attends that Friday happy hour in which we win a PowerBall jackpot on the next drawing, shares equally in the pot.

We have the caveat "welcome guest**" to be able to not include those who are not intended to be included such as the pizza guy, the dude that cuts across the back yard, errant skydivers, wandering neighbors and the like. Minors under the age of 18 do not qualify for a share unless agreed upon by Kim and Beth. + We are the final authority as defining "welcome guests".  This statement of policy supersedes any previous statement of policy.  PLUS for this week, The Nature Conservancy will receive a donation right off of the top of the total take.  Beth and I will determine that amount.  I hope they get a bunch of money!
