The weather was fine and so was the crowd

What were we worried about?  No rain until all had departed.  Warm enough to have swimmers.  Plenty of good food.  Wonderful night!

All went well until the end.  A daring rescue had to be performed!  More about the harrowing events later!

The best I can recollect there were 26 of us at Huppy Hour.  Notably Barry, Kathy, Amanda and Lilly came in from out of town for the festivities.  They invited first time attendees Bob and Amy.  Todd invited another first timer Jeff Graham. Big surprise seeing Jeff.  We hope all the first times come back for future Happy Hours!

There was plenty to eat.  The beef roast and peppers was marvelous.  Nancy's baked beans are always a big hit.  Peggy's Amish veggie dish was very different and very good!  Terry made spicy chicken dip with enhanced crackers!!!  Yea Terry!   Michelle and Eric provided perfect melon yum!  We were glad they showed up to counter balance our trivia rivals Dave and Denise of the powerful Publican, a Wednesday night trivia consortium.

We had 2 MegaMillions tickets due to hitting last Happy Hour for $1.  We reinvested as is usual.  The extra ticket was no help.  We got ONE number!?!  You would think the law of averages would have caught up with us over the years of Happy Hour ticket.  You would think we would hit for $10 sometime but nooo!  Well maybe my crying with help with tonight's PowerBall numbers.  I'll keep you posted if ... when we hit!

I'll post a few pictures from last night.

Oh yes, about the incident and rescue.  Beth Karen and Kim were just wrapping things up.  Chatting and taking food and dirty dishes inside.  We were at the deep end when we heard a loud SPLASH!  Dog in the pool!  Dog in the pool!  Karen sprang into action.  She hurled herself down the pool steps with no regard for her own personal safety.  She secured Banjo in some sort of exotic lifesaving hold and got him back on deck.  Resuscitation was not needed!  All was well again.  Disaster narrowly averted!
Sorry.  no pictures or video are currently available
of this heroic action.
BTW, some have speculated that Banjo fell in because he was "lifting his leg" on the banana plant and he lost his balance.  Said banana plant leaf has been sent to the lab for testing.  Banjo remains mum about the entire incident.

Here are a few paddling and vacation pictures because I can.
